The Governance of
Sentimental Journey

Sentimental Journey is a Section 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization incorporated in the State of Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1986, incorporated in 1989, and has operated continuously since that time. It has organized and implemented the fly-in at Lock Haven annually except for skipping one season during COVID. The organization has no full-time staff, but has two part-time assistants, and a host of volunteers who donate their time so generously.

The governing body of the organization is the Board of Directors. Currently, there are thirteen members of the Board. Board elections occur every June at the annual meeting, and every paid-up member is entitled to vote. Board members serve for a three year term. The Board usually meets monthly but in the lead-up to the fly-in the Board usually meets every two weeks; there's a lot of planning and spending behind the facade of a smooth-running fly-in.
